Commercial Design Solutions for a Multi-Site Brand

Ceres is a commercial and residential greenhouse designer and supplier. They primarily focus on commercial greenhouse needs and have two websites with over 50 unique pages on each.

Problem

Ceres Greenhouse Solutions came to me with a challenge: to create a website that would showcase their commercial greenhouse products and services in a visually stunning and user-friendly way. They had existing sites and needed to retain SEO, so I was limited in content changes and page organization changes that I could do. They also had two separate websites that needed to both reflect the new style, while maintaining their separate brands.

I started by reviewing Ceres’ existing website, conducting a thorough analysis of their branding, messaging, and user experience. I identified areas that needed improvement, such as the navigation and overall layout, and areas that could be enhanced, such as the imagery and content. I also noticed that their logo needed a refresh, with a more modern take on their existing design.

For this project I was part of a cross-functional team. My role in this project was as the web designer, to be passed off to a development team. This project involved two separate websites with more than 30 unique pages on each. For my part:

I worked closely with Ceres to understand their brand values and mission, and designed a new logo that incorporated their existing elements while bringing a fresh, modern perspective. The new logo was clean, simple, and easy to recognize, creating a strong visual identity that would stand out in the competitive greenhouse industry.
I wanted to create a website that not only looked great but also provided an optimal user experience. I created a new layout that was intuitive and easy to navigate, with clear calls to action and engaging visuals that showcased the quality and variety of Ceres’ greenhouse solutions.
I ensured the design was fully responsive. This was especially important given the unique design elements and over 60 pages in total.
